When using the search engine, the more specific you are in your description, the quicker the search will be. For example, if you are looking for a common merganser but you type in just the word “common” it will search for every species of bird, plant, mammal, etc. that has the name “common” in it and present these choices to you.
Keep in mind, when searching for plant species, they can have several common names. I try to use the most widely used common name so if you’re not finding the species you’re looking for, you might try using the scientific name (if you know it).
After using the search engine, you still cannot find the specific photograph by grouping or by search of a specific species, please send me an email. I may have it but hadn’t had time to get it on the website.
