Nature’s Ark Photography

This is my repository of nature photos. When I began this journey, my main focus was on birds. However, today my wildflowers and plants gallery has far surpassed any of my other galleries. I am what I call “an-equal-opportunity-nature photographer” and will photograph many other subjects as they present themselves.

This site sells high resolution digital nature stock and prints for your home, office or for books, magazines, presentations, and marketing.

My galleries include more than 1200 species of plants and animals, plus some natural landscapes.   There are more than 60,000 photographs within the galleries to choose from.

The site has been redesigned with the customer in mind. It’s easier to navigate with a faster response time to help you find what you need. I have included an easy-to-use search engine to help you in your search. The more specific you are in your description, the quicker the search will be. For example, if you are looking for a common loon but you type in just the word “common”, it will search for every species of bird, plant, mammal etc. that has the name “common” in it and present these choices to you in a gallery.

After using the search engine, if you still cannot find the specific photograph by grouping or by search of a specific species, please send me an email.  I may have it but hadn’t had time to get it on the website.

One more note…like many photographers, I had been relying on Alamy, an online stock photography broker, for making my photographs available for use. I had over 10,000 images available in their catalog over the course of fifteen years.  However, Alamy, as well as other online image brokers have changed their fee schedule meaning the broker gets 70% of the fee while the photographer only gets 30%. Additionally, the photographer is given no knowledge of how the photograph was to be used when it was purchased.

Through my new website, I am personally inviting you to support photographers by buying directly from them.
